Where to start…
It might seem overwhelming to start planning your big day but there are a few things that you can start with that will help you stay focused and organized. If you are like me, you might start thinking of all of the creative touches and the fun crafts that you want to do before you really iron out some important details. If you don’t plan out everything first, you might end up with a hodgepodge of different ideas.
- First start by thinking of what kind of ceremony and celebration that you want. Do you want something outdoors, something casual, traditional or formal? Is there a theme that you have in mind? How many people would you like to invite? Once you decide the vibe for your event, you can start searching for a venue that will help your vision come to life.
- When you meet with your venue it is best to have a few dates or a time of year that would work best. If you stay flexible it can be easier to find a place with availability.
- Once you set the date, it is a good idea to start thinking about your guest list. Then you will want to send out save-the-dates to your guests so they can plan accordingly. This is especially important if you have a lot of out of town guests.
- Once you have your date and venue, you can start booking your other vendors and thinking about the creative projects and design elements that you want to add to your event.
